Shape our scholars’ lives by serving as a mentor for our ALMA programs!
BENEFITS

BECOMING A MENTOR
- Mentors sign up each quarter, and are expected to attend most Saturday sessions at James Madison Elementary: 8:45am-10:45 for the High School Program, or 10:45-1:30 for the Elementary and Middle School Programs.
- Mentors work in pairs, leading small groups. This allows mentors the opportunity to develop meaningful personal relationships with younger students while providing some flexibility (if mentors have conflicts because of school or family, for example).
- Mentors are expected to notify the Academic Coordinator of expected absences at least 72 hours ahead.
HOW TO Sign Up:
Mentors are required to submit a yearly application and attend an orientation before joining the program.
After we receive your mentor application we will contact you regarding consent forms which should be submitted.
