This study used community‑driven online surveys to assess attitudes, health impacts, and protective actions among residents affected by the 24‑day Tustin hangar fire in Southern California. Participants frequently reported concerns about asbestos and air pollution and common symptoms including anxiety, fatigue, headaches, and irritation. Protective actions included staying indoors, masking, and air purifiers. Low‑income residents faced greater costs, and many disapproved of government response. Findings highlight the broad health and social impacts of major pollution events.
