UCI researchers are helping City of Santa Ana address environmental injustice

Researchers at UC Irvine are partnering with the City of Santa Ana and local community organizations to study and address environmental justice issues affecting the city’s neighborhoods. The collaboration brings together scientists, policymakers, and residents to better understand how pollution sources and environmental hazards impact communities across Santa Ana.

Groups such as Green-MPNA are participating in discussions and community engagement efforts connected to the project. By combining academic research with local knowledge and community advocacy, the initiative aims to support policies and actions that reduce pollution exposure and improve environmental health outcomes for Santa Ana residents.
