Madison Park Neighborhood Association hosted it’s 16th Annual Walk-A-Thon, Resource and Cultural Fair on Oct. 6, 2018
We kicked off our walk-a-thon with a Zumba warm-up done by Zumba instructor Hortensia. Followed by a brief raffle for kids dance battle.
The families headed out on to a 5k Walk in the community along the bike trail from Edinger Ave to Chestnut. The walk was led by Park and Recreation Community Services Supervisor Rodolfo “Rudy” Hernandez.
The families were greeted back from their walk with Aztec Dancing.
After Aztec Dancing kicked off our Resource and Cultural Fair. We had raffles and music followed by a beautiful Ballet Folklorico performance done by Echale Porras. Echale Porras host its practice at Madison Elementary from 6-8pm Monday-Wednesday and Saturday’s.
Our final performance for the cultural fair was done by Century High School’s Polynesian Dance group.
In between our performances families were encouraged to visit the many resources in attendance.
